WHITEPAIN neckpiece / GOLDEN LACE headpiece

This exhibition was continuation to exhibition VI ARTISHOK BIENNIAL which took place 20th until 28th October 2018 at Balti Railway Station in Tallinn, Estonia.

,,Keep ____ close to your chest’’ (Oma ____ on ihule kõige lähemal) curated by Sten Ojavee-Tulve which was from 30th September 2021 until 16th January 2022 exhibited at Narva Museum’s Art Gallery in Narva, Estonia.

Working with the same topic, my project’s core idea was to use contrasting materials instead of the ones used in the past. In VI AB project, I took inspiration from Seto culture and placed their traditional jewellery to different parts of the body using silver and aluminum. With current project, I used brass instead of silver and natural silk instead of linen (linen is widely used in traditional clothes here in Estonia) and created my own traditional warrior queens.

Inspiration comes from theatrical fashion and Estonian forest mythologies.

Silk is hand pleated by myself therefore the crisp golden color.

Heliotrope mask is executed by Eric Pillmann taking details from my creations and forming new mask.

Pictures from the exhibition are taken by Roman-Sten Tõnissoo

Pictures from the photo shoot are taken by Todd Richter with the help of Nell Cunningham and Juri Krutii (PENSIVE PICTURES).

HELIOTROPE mask / LIGHTVEIL bodypiece

Names for each individual piece comes from my love towards light and capturing it.

HELIOTROPE mask is d executed by Eric Pillmann using my motives and creating his own vision of it. Our first collaborative piece, I soldered together my signature details and he physically created his 3D sketch. Creating of this mask was an opportunity I gave him for this certain exhibition.

LIGHTVEIL body piece is a two-piece - harness can be de-attached from silk element. Silk is fully hand pleated by me and it is natural, therefore the crisp golden color which comes when baked in the oven.
